What is Career and Technical Education?
Career and technical education (CTE) is essential to providing students with the skills, training, and knowledge necessary to succeed in the workforce.
Jobs in CTE are often high-paying and in high-demand. States find ways to invest in CTE through various federal, state and local funding sources to ensure students have access to this type of education.
Career and technical education is the practice of teaching skills in middle school, high school, and in post-secondary institutions. The training provided is by specific occupation and is offered in many institutions before students even go to college. Career tech centers are often in high demand in middle and high schools across the country.
