CODE313 Non-Profit Announce Two Summer Camps for Students

CODE313, a non-profit in Detroit, Michigan, will offer an extensive amount of summer programming to help make STEM education more accessible for students. The organization offers programs to students ages 7 through 17 that inspire youth and get them exciting about the opportunities in technology and programming.

Schools that don’t have the resources for computer science programs often fail to engage youth in STEM programs. CODE313 is looking to change that. Computer science has seen a decrease in student participation since according to the National Center for Education Statistics. CODE313 offers affordable programs for students who are looking to expand their reach in STEM.

The Junior Achievement Code and CODE313 Summer Camp is a collaboration that offers students a hands-on experience blending technology, entrepreneurship, and personal finance. The program teaches students how to reduce financial risk and the opportunity for students to participate in various STEM path opportunities.

Some of these paths include cyber security, drones, robotics, and coding. CODE313 hopes to offer stimulating programs for students who are interested in advancing in one of those career paths.

The second program, CODE313’s Summer STEM Academy 2020, offers week-long day camps for students going into grades 4-9. The program introduces students to STEM fields and allow them to participate in interactive activities.

You can register now for the Junior Achievement Code and CODE313 Summer Camp collaboration, taking place June 22 to July 2, or the CODE313 Summer STEM Academy.
