Tools for Schools Prize

We awarded $1.5 million to the winners of the 2023 Harbor Freight Tools for Schools Prize for Teaching Excellence. The prizes went to twenty-five outstanding high school skilled trades teachers and their schools, including five $100,000 grand prize winners and twenty $50,000 prize winners. Come meet the winners on our website and see today’s surprise celebrations on FacebookInstagram and X.

These twenty-five extraordinary teachers join more than a hundred previous winners who are part of a growing network of Harbor Freight Tools for Schools’ prizewinners working together to expand and improve skilled trades education in public high schools across the United States. We hope this recognition and our ongoing support will spur growth and greater investment in this critical sector.

We’ve awarded more than $7 million to U.S. public high school teachers and their skilled trades programs. Supporting tens of thousands of students along the way.

We are so grateful for the work of skilled trades teachers to prepare and inspire our country’s next generation of tradespeople. When students learn the trades in high school, they gain a head start on the road to good jobs and fulfilling careers and help create a workforce our country desperately needs.

We are posting stories about the prize celebrations all day on our social media channels. Please congratulate our winners on FacebookInstagram and X. Let these outstanding teachers know how much you appreciate their work.

Sincerely,

Eric Smidt
